Plate Mill
Jindal Steel manufactures plates at its integrated steel plant in Angul using advanced rolling technologies and process control systems. The Plate Mill is equipped with a 5-metre-wide rolling capability, enabling the production of wide plates across a broad thickness and length range.
With in-house heat treatment facilities, including normalising, quenching and tempering, and advanced inspection systems such as ultrasonic testing, the mill ensures consistent quality, structural reliability, and performance across critical applications.
The mill supports multiple rolling and heat treatment routes, including normalised rolling, thermo-mechanical controlled processing, and quenched and tempered plates, to meet varied application requirements.
